Pallars Sobirà

The region of culd is the fourth largest in Catalonia. The province and its capital is Lleida Sort. It extends from south to north along the river Noguera Pallaresa.
In culd find the largest lake in the Pyrenees, the Certascan, and the highest peak of Catalonia, the Pica d'Estats.
In terms of natural resources, we found that most of the territory is protected as National Park and Lake Sant Aigüestortes Maurici, the Natural Park of the High Pyrenees, the Partial Nature Reserve Pallaresa Noguera, among others.
The region had traditionally been used for agriculture and livestock to survive the people of the region. Currently out the implementation of hydropower and tourism industries. The tourist attractions offered by the culd are its historical heritage, beautiful landscapes and a variety of sports such as fishing, adventure sports, winter hiking, among others.
The climate and vegetation are closely linked, we find different states: oaks to 1000 m, oak, beech, fir and pine to the 1.600m incarnate.
The spices that are in the region of culd are the ptarmigan, the chamois and the ermine.
